I painted 12 vibrant landscapes featuring the Arctic fox as a way to celebrate the return of these beautiful creatures in my home area. This year is the first time in 25 years that Arctic fox has successfully bred in Finland - 3 pups were born. They will get to experience the cleanest air, remote wilderness and hopefully a long life. There are many ways this world is becoming more and more scary every day, this is my way of looking towards hope.
Arctic foxes shed their beautiful fur during summer months and remain camouflaged with dark brown/grey fur. I tried to capture their playfulness, their resilient spirit through seasons, portraying the fox in their natural habitat, near their food sources and showing how the nature looks here in Lapland every month.
